We’re allies to both individuals and businesses

We asked for thoughts. We got thoughts.

How would you describe your brand?

We’re an open, confident, and human brand that stays up to date. We see ourselves as allies to both individuals and businesses. I also think we’re a vibrant brand that attracts people who genuinely want to make a difference.

What is your brand’s vision?

At the heart of our brand is a commitment to impact; real, measurable change that goes beyond surface-level efforts. Our vision is to create meaningful connections, build teams where everyone feels valued, and foster a sense of community in all that we do. Above all, we aim to humanize the recruitment experience, ensuring that every interaction is authentic, respectful, and empowering for both people and organizations.

What is the driving force behind EqualIT?

We exist to level the playing field for everyone. Being judged by what people think of you, rather than what you’re capable of, has an impact. You start doubting yourself. I’ve experienced it myself. I lost confidence, developed imposter syndrome, and was on the verge of leaving my job.

But both Jonathon and I have also experienced true allyship and the power of working in open, inclusive environments. Our driving force is knowing that both people and businesses thrive when we take a fair, outcome-based approach, ensuring that everyone feels valued and respected.

You’re a mission-driven brand. How is that reflected in your work?

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not one-size-fits-all. There are so many layers to these issues that need to be considered. In that sense, every case must be tailor-made.

We work across entire organizations—from leadership to tech—and support companies with crucial recruitment needs and strategies on how to build and retain diverse teams. And we’re here to make a difference on many levels – for the people involved, the businesses we work with, and ultimately for society.

What advice would you give to brands/companies that want to focus on DE&I?

If I had one piece of advice for companies looking to focus on DE&I, it would be this: Stop chasing quick fixes and start thinking about long-term, structural change. Focus on embedding DE&I into everyday culture; who gets hired, who gets promoted, and how people work together. Continually reflect, adapt, and evolve. There will always be work to do, new challenges to address, and better ways to foster inclusion. Remember, it’s a journey, not a destination.
